Pressure can become overwhelming and difficult to deal with at times. Stress and anxiety can manifest in a variety of ways, leaving us feeling terrified and helpless. Our past experiences may appear to be impeding our progress. We can get past these thoughts and feelings by talking about them and looking at them in new ways. However, because our thinking (or faulty thinking in these cases) is only “in our heads,” we could argue that all stress is self-imposed, by our own free will. As a result, we can reduce or eliminate stress and its physical symptom of anxiety.

How can I cope with stress?

Counselling can be especially beneficial in developing healthier coping strategies and regaining control by discussing and looking at things in a different light. I work with clients in a variety of ways, including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). Please contact me if you want to work on the issues that are causing you anxiety and stress.

Clinical Psychologists

Clinical Psychologists offer therapies to people with mental disorders and are equipped with skills in assessment and treatment of complex mild to severe difficulties. They use a range of different techniques and therapies to treat mental and emotional disorder. They are able to personalise and tailor the treatment to the patient’s specific needs.
As a registered member of the British Psychological Society, my area of clinical expertise is providing mental health support to individuals with anxiety disorders, depression, addiction, anger management, personality disorders, phobia, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and more.
