Expert supervision is the cornerstone of effective and ethical psychological practice. At New-Mind Psychology, I provide a structured, supportive, and reflective space for practitioners to enhance their skills, ensure client welfare, and advance their professional development. My approach is grounded in evidence-based frameworks, with a strong emphasis on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) principles.
Who I Work With
I provide tailored supervision and consultancy for:
Trainee Psychologists: Building a solid foundation in clinical skills, case formulation, and ethical practice as you work towards chartership.
Qualified Practitioners: Offering ongoing professional development for Chartered Psychologists seeking to refine their expertise, particularly in CBT and trauma-informed care.
Academic Institutions: Delivering bespoke consultancy on curriculum development, research methodology, and the integration of psychological science into teaching programmes.

FACE TO FACE COUNSELLING
The client can explore various aspects of their life and feelings in the counselling sessions, talking about them freely and openly in a way that is rarely possible with friends or family. Bottled up emotions such as anger, anxiety, grief, and embarrassment can become very intense, and counselling allows you to explore them in order to make them more understandable. The counsellor will encourage the expression of feelings and will be able to accept and reflect the client’s problems without becoming burdened by them as a result of their training.
Online therapy, also known as e-therapy, e-counseling, teletherapy, or cyber-counseling, is the delivery of mental health services and support via the internet. Email, text messaging, video conferencing, online chat, messaging, and internet phone can all be used to provide services. Online therapy can take place in real time, such as through phone calls and text messages, or in a time-delayed format, such as through email messages. Despite its limitations, this type of therapy is quickly becoming an important resource for a growing number of people.
My supervision philosophy is collaborative and formulation-driven. I utilise an integrated model that combines foundational supervision theory with the practical, goal-oriented structure of CBT.
Reflective & Formulation-Focused: We will explore your cases in depth, developing and refining your clinical formulations to better understand client presentations and identify key maintaining factors.
Skills & Competence Development: A core component is enhancing your technical skills in evidence-based interventions, with a specialism in CBT techniques and strategies.
Ethical & Professional Governance: We will consistently ensure that your practice meets the stringent ethical standards of the HCPC and BPS, managing risk and upholding professional boundaries.
Goal-Oriented & Measurable: Sessions are structured around your specific learning objectives and professional goals, ensuring our work together is focused and productive, leading to tangible outcomes for you and your clients.
